Turn-based combat against an extraterrestrial threat

Rate this App

Mercs of Boom is a turn-based strategy game where you control a squad of elite soldiers who have to take down an extraterrestrial threat. So, basically, it's an adaptation of the great XCOM for mobile devices. And that's a very, very good thing.

The gameplay in Mercs of Boom is turn-based, so normally you'll move your characters first and then it'll be your enemy's turn. The idea is to finish each turn with your heroes covered, since if you leave them exposed, it's very possible that they'll end up dead. Just like what happens in XCOM (and other similar games), depending on the distance, cover, and type of weapon you use, you'll have a certain percent chance of hitting your enemy.

The campaign in Mercs of Boom lets you visit dozens of different locations, where you have to face tons of different types of aliens. Some enemies will use long-distance attacks, while others will try to engage in hand to hand combat. Knowing the weaknesses and strengths of your enemies is key for victory.

Mercs of Boom is an excellent turn-based strategy game that offers a game experience that's very similar to the new XCOMs, but adapted for mobile devices. It's an outstanding title and, to top it all off, it also has spectacular graphics.
